FEP (Fluorinated ethylene propylene)

FEP is a melt-processable fluoropolymer for wire and cable insulation, tubing, linings, films and chemical-process equipment where chemical resistance, electrical insulation and a smooth surface are required.

As a reference, FEP can be considered for continuous-use temperatures up to about 200 °C. The final limit depends on the grade, design, medium and pressure and must be verified for the application.

Yes. FEP is melt processable and is commonly selected for extrusion-based wire coating, tubing and film applications. Processing conditions must be set for the selected grade.

Yes. A TDS gives typical values; confirmation for the offered or supplied batch is based on available batch-specific documentation, such as a COA, and the applicable TDS, SDS and compliance documents.
