PFA Fluoropolymer Supplier Europe

PFA fluoropolymer granules

PFA is a fluoropolymer with a high degree of purity. It is melt-processable and can be used in a wide range of operating temperatures. PFA is highly resistant to chemicals, aging and climatic influences. A small friction coefficient testifies to the material’s nonstick properties.

PFA is a fluorocarbon in which the carbon atoms are fully bonded to the fluorine atoms. The fluorine-carbon bonds are the strongest known molecule bonds and explain the material’s chemical resistance. Other polymers and elastomers absorb different amounts of the materials that they come into contact with, and this applies to organic liquids in particular. Absorption with PFA is minimal and a reaction between PFA and the surrounding media is extremely rare. Permeation is closely linked to absorption. Besides PTFE, PFA offers the highest resistance to creep flow and it has good electric insulation.

Available PFA grades

Grade Type MFR1 Colour Typical applications Standard packaging Availability
NEOFLON™ PFA AP-230SH High-purity PFA 1.5–2.5 g/10 min Natural Semiconductor chemical-liquid tubing, sheet and valve lining 25 kg bag Supplied against confirmed order

1 Typical MFR ranges from the grade manufacturer’s technical data sheet, tested to ASTM D3307. They are guidance values, not product specifications. The listed standard packaging is the manufacturer’s packaging; grade availability, sample availability, minimum order quantity and lead time are confirmed against the individual requirement.

High-purity PFA for semiconductor applications

Convena offers PFA HP grades for high-purity applications. PFA and PTFE grades tested to SEMI F57 are available for semiconductor manufacturing environments where material purity, chemical resistance and consistent performance are critical.

Typical uses

Fluid-handling components, sealing solutions and other demanding parts used in semiconductor production environments.

Qualification support

Discuss contamination, extractables, grade selection and the documentation required for your qualification process with our team.

Conductive PFA

For a published conductive reference grade, NEOFLON™ PFA AP-230ASL has a typical MFR of 1.7 g/10 min and a typical volume resistivity of 1.0 × 107 Ω·cm (Daikin method). It is intended for extrusion applications and conductive valve linings. These are representative manufacturer values rather than a specification; confirm the current TDS and suitability for the end use before selection.

Recycled PFA / PIR PFA

For selected industrial applications, Convena can discuss recycled PFA and PIR PFA options. Available MFR range, colour, origin and application suitability depend on the individual material stream and are confirmed with the offer.

Frequently asked questions

Does Convena provide PFA samples?

Samples for NEOFLON™ PFA AP-230SH, AP-230 or conductive AP-230ASL are assessed case by case. State the grade, requested quantity, application and delivery country; sample availability is confirmed before an offer is made.

Is there a minimum order quantity for PFA?

There is no blanket published MOQ. The published standard packaging is a 25 kg bag for AP-230SH and AP-230, and a 50 kg drum for AP-230ASL; the quantity available for your requirement is confirmed with the offer.

What is the standard packaging for PFA?

NEOFLON™ PFA AP-230SH and AP-230 are listed in 25 kg bags; AP-230ASL is listed in 50 kg drums. Packaging and lot size for recycled PFA and other grades are confirmed with the offer.

Is PFA available from stock or against order?

Stock status is checked for the specific grade and requested quantity. Depending on the material, supply may be made from available stock or procured against a confirmed order.

What is the lead time for PFA?

A fixed lead time is not published because it depends on grade, quantity, stock status, delivery route and any documentation requirements. The lead time is confirmed with the specific offer.

Can Convena confirm the specification for a particular batch?

Yes. A TDS gives typical values; confirmation for the offered or supplied batch is based on available batch-specific documentation, such as a COA, and the applicable TDS, SDS and compliance documents.
