PEEK (Polyether ether ketone)

PEEK is a high-temperature polymer thermoplastic. This semicrystalline material does not dissolve in all known liquids and boasts excellent resistance to almost all organic and non-organic bonds. Other qualities of PEEK include its chemical resistance and hydrolytic stability (i.e. its minimal water absorption and therefore outstanding dimensional stability). This polymer has great strength, solidity and rigidity. Thanks to very good dynamic friction behaviour, PEEK has minimal abrasion and offers impressive wear results even in high temperatures. It features very high heat resistance and good processability. Furthermore, PEEK shows no tendency to crack under stress.

Its properties make PEEK ideal for applications when the pressure increases over time at high temperatures without leading to any deformations or degradations.
